The Giller Master Panel: Black writers’ experience publishing in Canada, 7pm EST

Moderated by award-winning author, academic, public intellectual and former Scotiabank Giller Prize juror, Cecil Foster, the panel will include 2019 Scotiabank Giller Prize winner Ian Williams, 2021 jury chair and author Zalika Reid-Benta, literary agent Chelene Knight and renowned writer and scholar, Rinaldo Walcott, discussing their experiences being published in Canada.

Co-presented with the MAI, Tuning In is a commissioned series of three new, short audio plays penned by women playwrights from across Canada. Tuning In tackles issues of denial, fear and care. Three Canadian women playwrights explore the perspectives that reflect our personal realities and also the truths that bind us together.
