“Following the recent episodes of violence in the Parc de la Vérendrye and in Nova Scotia against members of the First Nations, and a month after the death of Joyce Echaquan under racist insults against her, depriving her of her dignity, Natasha Kanapé Fontaine would like to respond to hatred by poetry, her last weapon.New texts are surfacing and inhabiting the artist and activist, and so as not to be alone in this struggle in words for justice, she invites songwriter Patrick Watson to accompany her musically and to share a moment of communion.An unprecedented encounter, under the influence of emotion and the call for justice.The money raised with the tickets sold will go to the Moose Moratorium and for the lost and stolen equipement of Mik’maq fishers of the Sipekne’katik First Nation in Nova Scotia.”
