“Three writers, three readings, three interviews. Join us at the Casa D’Italia (505 Rue Jean-Talon E.) for an evening celebrating queer literature with writers Michael V. Smith, Eva Crocker and H. Nigel Thomas.

This event is co-presentation with The Équipe de recherche en études queer au Québec (ÉRÉQQ) and VersUs Centre de recherche – Université de Sherbrooke.

Michael V. Smith will be in Montreal to discuss his latest book of poetry, Queers Like Me (Book*hug Press), a broad tapestry that explores growing up queer and working class, then growing into an urban queer life.

Eva Crocker will discuss her latest novel, Back in the Land of the Living (House of Anansi Press), about a young queer woman named Marcy who moves to Montreal in the fall of 2019 after making a mess of her life in St. John’s.

H. Nigel Thomas will discuss the 30th anniversary edition of Spirits in the Dark (Véhicule Press), a pioneering intersectional novel of the LGBTQ+ and Caribbean-Canadian experience that was far ahead of its time.”

Host: Christopher DiRaddo

Admission: $5 PWYC

Books will be available for sale onsite, provided by Librairie Paragraphe Bookstore.
