“Over the past four years, Bebenek has been creating unique knitted pieces by translating poems into knitting patterns and knitting them publicly in durational performances. k2tog is a collection of 9 pieces celebrating women’s voices throughout literary history; a risographed collection of these knitting patterns was published by Broken Dimanche (Berlin) in 2018. The Waste Land (2017-18) and Rag Bag (2018-present) are durational knitting performances critical of the authors which they represent, ‘Modernist Daddies’ T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pound respectively.”
