Born in Bracebridge, Ontario, Adam Dickinson has written three books of poetry and has earned numerous awards and nominations. His writing focuses on the intersection of science and poetry. For example, his third book, The Polymers, plays with the science of plastic materials and the aspects of language and culture, such as arguments and trends, that repeat like plastic molecules. He currently teaches at Brock University. @AdamwDickinson
Allison LaSorda lives in Toronto. Her writing has been supported by residencies at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the Vermont Studio Center. Recent work can be found in PRISM international, The Fiddlehead, Shenandoah, and Hazlitt. Her first collection of poems, Stray, was published by icehouse poetry / Goose Lane Editions in April 2017. www.allisonlasorda.com
This event will take place in the Atwater Library auditorium, which is located on the second floor, up two flights of stairs. The library does not have an elevator.
