“In honour of ROBBIE BURNS DAY, Ilay Ian Charles Ferrier (aka Ian Ferrier) performs his poetry with accompaniment by clarinetist and composer Louise Campbell, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Ian is one of Canada’s best known spoken word performers, and also runs the Words and Music spoken-word series. Presented jointly by the Atwater Poetry Project with funding from the League of Canadian Poets. Special treats provided by Shortbread by Gryphon served with coffee.
Following that, from 2-4 p.m. Ian will lead a memoir-writing activity. What are the memorable moments in your life and what made them special? What could you say about them so that others would understand why they were so important to you? All welcome. No registration necessary. For more information, please email [email protected]. Generously supported by the Community Cultural Action Fund (CCAF) of the Department of Canadian Heritage.”
