Columba x Cactus Press at Accent Open Mic, with Michael Metivier, Sophie Villeneuve, and Mahta Riazi

Columba celebrates its 1st chapbook with Cactus Press at the Accent Reading Series. With readings by Michael Metivier, Sophie Villeneuve, and Mahta Riazi, followed with an open mic.

June 19th, 8pm at La Marche à côté, 5043 rue Saint Denis.

Sophie Villeneuve is a Montreal-based poet, fiction writer, and copy-editor. She is pursuing a B.A. in English & Creative Writing at Concordia University. Her poetry and short fiction have appeared in yolk and Graphite Publications. You Are Searching for Something is her first chapbook.

Mahta Riazi is a poet, community worker, and educator living in what is colonially known as Montreal. She is a lover of the in-between places, narrow bodies of water, and pistachio ice cream. You can find her poetry in inQluded magazine, Voicemail Poems, Yolk literary magazine, Bahr magazine, and Brickplight.  

Michael Metivier was born and raised in Massachusetts. His poems have been in Poetry, African American Review, jubilat, Washington Square, Bennington Review, and other journals. He lives in Vermont, where he is the tree warden of his small town.
